We are happy to offer Appleby House & Rabbit Island Huts as a wedding venue inclusive of accommodation for your guests
Suited to wedding groups that want to create their own magic and bring their vision to life. We give you the blank canvas and you create. You choose your florist, caterer, wedding planner, stylist, we simply give you the venue to do this. If you want a wedding that is completely organised on your behalf - we can put you in touch with our wedding planner to plan everything for you.
Our packages are suited to destination weddings, where you want family and friends to spend special time together in a gorgeous setting. The property becomes yours for the duration of your stay.
We hope you can visit - there is lots of options on our property, for marquee weddings, small intimate weddings, or rustic weddings in the paddock - and I am sure lots of other options that we have not already thought of.
Note: we can only offer weddings/retreats as part of a accommodation package, we cannot hold weddings and have guests onsite that are not part of the wedding group, so all packages include accommodtion

June & September Weddings - if you choose June or September to get married this will reduce your overall wedding package for Large and Medium Weddings by $1000.00 / Small Weddings $500.00 - contact to discuss

CANCELLATION POLICY :
To confirm a date requires $1000.00 deposit/bond – partly refundable ($800.00) up to twelve months prior to wedding date, non-refundable if within twelve months.
Cancel within 12 months of wedding date – no refund
Cancel outside of 12 months we keep $200.00 admin fee and will refund $800.00
No charge for postponing once, your deposit/bond moves with your dates. If you change dates and then cancel, then you will lose your deposit.

Please note over time there have been different packages offered, the package you choose is relevant at the date you confirmed, please refer back to your emails for the details or contact visit@applebyhouse.co.nz if you are unsure about what was booked i.e. check in check out times/pricing/nights’ accommodation/access times for set up etc
Rubbish removal – we will manage all recycling, we have added the cost of a CanPlan hire bin for rubbish disposal
Cleaning – if you would like public area cleans, kitchen, dining area, lounge, public bathroom area - please let us know and we can organise a cleaner to come in daily @ $35.00 per hour
Additional parking as required - in paddock opposite banquet hall

Please Note : - our property has been setup as a accommodation business, it was not purpose built for large weddings, so there are few things you must be aware of if you are thinking of using the property for your wedding.
We advise the use of a generator for additional power if there is high usage e.g. caterers bringing in additional ovens, band requirements, outdoor lighting.
You will also need to also hire cutlery and crockery depending on what type of wedding you are having.
Music: all music including bluetooth speakers to be off by 11pm and all non resident guests to be offsite by 12 midnight.

Full package weddings - we will put you in touch with your wedding planner and they will design the wedding with you and then quote for a full wedding package including caterers, florists, music etc
RETREATS have special pricing - as they are usually single occupation - please email details such as numbers, nights and we can estimate costs for you.
